Navidrome

What Is Navidrome?

  • Navidrome: A lightweight self-hosted music server with a Subsonic-compatible API.
  • Features:
    • Browse artists, albums, songs, playlists, music folders, and genres.
    • Open starred songs, starred albums, playlists, and recent listening surfaces.
    • Search your server and jump straight into direct audio playback inside AN Player.

Find more at the Navidrome developer docs.

Install

  1. Open AN Player and go to the Plugins Screen.
  2. Find Navidrome in the official plugins list.
  3. Install the plugin and open its configuration page.

Configure Plugin

Navidrome requires access to your own server.

  1. Enter the base URL of your Navidrome server.
  2. Enter your Navidrome username and password.
  3. Tap Test Connection.
  4. Optionally pick a default music folder.
  5. Tap Save.

The plugin stores:

  • your server URL
  • username
  • password
  • optional default music folder id

The password is stored locally because the Subsonic protocol signs every request from the saved password.

If Nothing Loads

If the Navidrome home screen is still empty after saving, the most common issues are:

  • the server URL is missing a reverse-proxy base path such as /music or /navidrome
  • the device running AN Player cannot reach the same server URL
  • the selected music folder is too narrow, empty, or no longer exists

Recheck the base URL, test the credentials again, and try clearing the music folder so the plugin can browse all libraries first.
