Configure Plugin

Freesound requires a free API key.

  3. Sign in with your Freesound account (create a free account at freesound.org if you don't have one).
  4. Fill in the form — give your app any name (e.g. "AN Player") and a short description.
  5. After submitting, you will receive an API Key on the confirmation page.
  6. Copy the API key.
  7. Go back to AN Player, paste the key into the API Key field.
  8. Tap Save.

If Nothing Loads

If the home screen stays empty after saving, the most common issues are:

  • The API key is invalid — double-check that you copied the full key without extra spaces.
  • Your Freesound account email is not verified — log in to Freesound and verify your email address.
  • The API key was revoked — go back to Freesound API credentials and create a new one.
