IPTV ​

What is IPTV? ​

  • IPTV: Internet Protocol Television — live TV and radio delivered over the internet, usually organized in M3U playlist files.
  • Features:
    • Add one or more M3U playlists by URL.
    • Browse channels organized by group/category.
    • Search channels by name.
    • Watch live TV and listen to radio streams directly in AN Player.
    • Supports multiple playlists at the same time.

Install ​

  1. Open AN Player and go to the Plugins Screen.
  2. Find IPTV in the official plugins list.
  3. Install the plugin and open its configuration page.

Configure Plugin ​

IPTV requires at least one M3U playlist URL.

  1. Open the plugin configuration page from AN Player.
  2. For each playlist you want to add, enter:
    • Name — a label for this playlist (e.g. "My IPTV" or "Free Channels"). This helps you tell playlists apart if you add more than one.
    • URL — the web address of the M3U playlist file (e.g. https://example.com/playlist.m3u).
  3. You can add multiple playlists by tapping the add button.
  4. Tap Save.

Where to Find M3U Playlists ​

  • Your IPTV provider will give you an M3U URL when you subscribe.
  • There are free, legal M3U playlists available online for public radio stations and free-to-air TV channels. Search for "free IPTV M3U playlists" to find them.
  • Some community projects maintain curated lists of free streams.

If Nothing Loads ​

If channels don't appear after saving, check the following:

  • The playlist URL may be wrong or broken — try opening the URL directly in your phone's browser. It should download or display a text file starting with #EXTM3U.
  • The URL may have expired — some IPTV providers change their playlist URLs periodically. Check with your provider for an updated link.
  • The playlist may be empty or use an unsupported format — AN Player supports standard M3U and M3U8 playlists.
